VI Radio Information
VI Radio is the West of England's very own campus radio station, broadcasting on medium wave and streaming through the internal computer network, you can tune in to the radio from anywhere on campus. We broadcast several times a day during radio production lessons and in the evenings. Shows are presented by the learners and we play a mixture of live and pre-recorded material. VI reporters are always on hand to cover events on and off campus and we regularly interview guests and visitors to the school and college.
We have a building dedicated to the radio and audio production. The studio has been designed with ease of use and accessibility in mind and we have learners with little or no sight regularly presenting their own shows completely independently.
Learners can now plan, record and produce radio shows in the new editing suite and even turn their hands to music production. Equipped with a range of PC and Apple Mac computers which have editing adn composition software installed, this is a great area for learners to improve their audio skills and contribute to the station's output.
