Admissions

If you would like further information about how to apply for a place at the School or College please …

Contact us by phone or email – We would be happy to send you further details or discuss your questions.

Contact us to arrange a visit - We strongly recommend at least one informal visit to the School or College in order to find out what the organisation has to offer and to discuss our provision ‘face to face’.

Request an assessment - In order to pursue an interest in a placement at the School or College we can arrange an assessment. There is no charge for this assessment which is usually held at the School/College over two days. The purpose of this assessment is to provide young people and their families with an opportunity to have an in depth look at the School / College and to provide us with the opportunity to determine whether a young person’s needs can be met at the School or College.

Depending on individual needs the range of professionals involved in the assessment are:

  • Teacher of the visually impaired
  • Physiotherapist
  • Occupational therapist
  • Speech and language therapist
  • Mobility specialist
  • Braille/ICT specialist
  • Ophthalmologist
  • Orthoptist
  • Health Specialists
  • Residential Care

As part of the assessment process we would usually work in consultation with local authorities. If it is determined that a School or College placement would be appropriate the relevant funding agency would be made aware of the assessment findings.
