Exmouth Shop Grand Opening

Shopping in Exmouth just got better....

front-of-shop2The West of England College is dedicated to equipping students with the skills to live full, independent lives. In preparing them for the working world the College offers training and qualifications in retail operations and customer services.

Now through our Social Enterprise Scheme we are opening a new shop in Exmouth where blind and partially sighted young people will gain first-hand experience, pricing, displaying and preparing goods for sale and practising their customer service skills in a busy and successful retail outlet.

Come shop with us - 4 Church Street, Exmouth

Grand Opening: 15th October 2011

Join us as a volunteer in our new Social Enterprise shop and play a key role in the social development of visually impaired young people - a fantastic way to make a difference in your local community!

Working alongside blind and partially sighted students you will carry out a wide variety of tasks. The students take part in all the activities of the shop, gaining knowledge, skills and abilities that will prepare them for the working world and independent living.

As a volunteer you'll benefit from a real sense of achievement and the knowledge that your efforts improve the lives of blind and partially sighted young people in the local community. All we ask is that you commit to a regular number of hours per week and areprepared to undergo an enhanced CRB check.
